Starting from the bow, a glassy sheen washes over the battleship as its composition begins to alter. The open ports in the front track the oncoming object. The two accompanying cruisers peel off from the battle fleet and engage their sub-light propulsion to shoot off in opposite directions. The two cruisers circle back towards their earlier staging area.
With extreme coordination, the Aturor Battleship engages full sub-light propulsion. The ship accelerates toward its target, narrowing the distance in a very little time. The engines give off an intense blue burn for a short period before the hyperdrive is detected ripping open a window in front of the ship.
Before the ship can hopefully open a complete window and escape to hyperspace, two cylindrical torpedoes are fired down at the oncoming threat. As they leave the torpedo tubes, they spike with neutron radiation, He-3 fuel is made unstable at the submolecular level. The torpedoes are clearly a fusion based weapon with the intent of roiling conflagration on the target.
