The current ships within the Infinity fleet are as follows:

A large void in space appears above the fertile planet, and it suddenly explodes into a burst of purple energy, the Infinity Fleet travelling through it.
The fleet's corvettes and frigates break off, establishing an orbit around the planet and they begin to scan and probe it.

The ZTN Wonder's advanced scanners also reach the planet, surveying the landscape, atmosphere, and other traits.

The ZTN Infinity oversees the operation, and sends out a few small vessels and probes to scan the nearby asteroids

A transparent bubble appears about 50 kilometers away from the planet's orbit, and then pops with a flash of white light. In the bubble's place, there's a fleet battle cruisers and the mighty Gustavus Adolphus. Aboard the Gustavus Adolphus, the war emperor David Alvisk observes the unknown fleet, watching them with an intense glare as they scan down the asteroid and orbit the planet

David turns to his executive officer at the gunnery station and nods, then turns to the ensign at the communication's stations and orders him to send a message to the rest of the fleet of battle cruisers to activate their weapons. The fleet's 725 millimeter artillery pieces load the EMP and Titanium Sabot rounds, and the 425 millimeter auto cannons load their weapons full of EMP charges then begin to activate their weapons, but keep them idle in case the unknown fleet starts to attack.

War emperor David Alvisk turns to the communications officer and gives the order to send a request for a video feed to the capital ship, with the pre-recorded message, "Du är på Leonum territorium, kräver jag dina skäl på en gång, eller vi kanske måste hantera situationen på annat sätt. Jag vill verkligen inte en kamp, men vi gör som vi måste. (You are on Leonum territory, I demand your reasons at once, or we may have to handle the situation by other means. I really do not want a fight, but we do as we must.) The crew on the bridge tense up for a moment at the emperor's words, waiting for the Infinity fleet to open fire upon the Imperial fleet. David clasps his hands behind his back as he waits for a response, quietly creating a battle plan to counter the fleet in the case that it decides to attack.

The message is received, but attempts to decipher the language end in failure. The request for a visual feed was also looked over, and could not be opened. The ZTN Infinity and the rest of the fleet's vessels glow an aqua hue, as their shields are brought to maximum. The ships appear to have no visible weapons, and only the boost in shields is noticeable.

The ZTN Infinity sends a message in Zaedrax and UCUS binary, Templese, Amundi, Zaedrax, and Zeleny:

Quote :: Your message was received, but can not be deciphered. As a response to your hostile actions, we have raised our shields. Firing of your weapons will result in a counter offensive. We are here to setup a Zaedrax agricultural colony on this planet due to its resources and strategic location.

The ZTN Adajn and Taranok enter atmosphere, finding a suitable location to land, and doing so. Prefabricated tents and small scale buildings are setup, while soldiers and automatons help escort the colonists.

The commander oversees the ground operation, observing the large amount of creatures roaming around in the grass filled plains that the ships have landed upon. The colonists are quick to work, setting their buildings up with haste, and beginning to power up their equipment. A few colonists approach any nearby livestock and observe them, scanning them and looking curiously at them.
The Commander swipes some commands into a arm mounted screen, and a round orb rolls out of the ZTN Adajn, rolling next to him. The top slides open, and the commander enters the orb. It closes in on itself, and legs emerge from it, the orb walking around and observing the operations.

David rubs his chin in interest as the ships raise their shields and looks at the communications ensign, who's forehead is sweating, trying to decipher the message. David strides over and pats the officer on the back, giving him a small pep talk, and asks when the rest of the fleet will arrive. The ensign looks down at the terminal again and wipes his brow, concentrating on the response from Himmelen. The ensign looks up and tells David that the rest of the fleet should be in system in about an hour.

The fleet's artillery pieces change their Sabot for EMP charges in hope that the electric pulse will take down the shields quicker. They remain idle, not targeting a ship in the opposing fleet. The Hurricanes begin to form a broad side line with the Gustavus in the middle, then puts as much space in between them without making them an such an individual target, then turns their bows to the fleet, hoping to minimize the size of the target.

David paces on the bridge, his ceremonial robe waving behind him as he waits for reinforcements. He turns to the ensign sitting inside the communications terminal and tells him to run a decryption on the UCUS binary, hoping to decode the code so they can send a return message in kind, he also gives the order to send a packet of data filled with the ship's binary code, hoping that they can decode it and send the message back. David turns on the ship's PA system and announces to the crew to prepare for battle stations in case this gets ugly. The Gustavus Adolphus' crew runs throughout the giant ship, getting to their stations for repairing breaches, engine failure, and manning the 15 Rifter fighters within the Adolphus' hangar.

The Hurricane class battle cruiser, the one to the right of the Gustavus Adolphus, dispels 10 Rifter fighters from its hull. The Gustavus dispels 15 Rifters from its own hangar and the battle wing of 25 fighters fly among the line of Imperial ships, their 425 millimeter auto cannons charged with a mix of EMP and SABOT rounds.

The Binary Packet is very quickly decoded, and the Zaedrax's previously sent message is relayed back in the new form of binary.

A transparent bubble appears behind the line of battle cruisers and the capital ship, it then pops in a flash of bright light. In the bubble's place, there's seven cruisers, the lead cruiser dispatches five Rifters from its hangar, who quickly join the battle wing flying in front of the Imperial battle line. The cruisers line up behind behind the Hurricane battle cruisers, oddly enough, their weapons are deactivated.

David smiles as the message is sent back to them, a mere misunderstanding. He turns to the gunnery officer and orders him to deactivate the weapons, and the fleet's weapons slowly begin to deactivate. The Imperial fleet remains in the skirmish line though, but a lone thorax cruiser docks with the Gustavus. After a few minutes, a tall pale man with dark brown hair, dressed in ceremonial noble robes, strides upon the deck. David greets him as an old friend and introduces him to the bridge crew as Alexander Berglund, peace emperor. Alexander turns to the communication and orders him to send a binary message to the fleet, "This is sector twenty six, as you may know, but this is The Lion's Den. We are the Imperii Leonum, The Empire of Lions. I am Alexander Berglund, the Peace Emperor, and this ship is the mighty Gustavus Adolphus. Our people hail from the mountain planet of Himmelen. This planet, though not exactly claimed or colonized, is Landbruksområde, or Farmland. I do apologize for the weapons, you see, we have had a troublesome past, and strangers are not common here. I don't deny that you got here first... Unknown Fleet, but this planet has food resources that my planet desperately needs, for Himmelen doesn't have such ability to create agriculture on a scale for a planet our size."

Dave blinks for a second, unsure of himself, then nods to the communications officer to send it the message, and the two emperors turn to each other and discuss the near catastrophe that almost happened.

The communications officer stands up from his terminal and turns to the two emperors, interrupting their chat about the scrimmage line facing the Zaedrax fleet, and reports the message just received. Alexander taps a long, pale finger against his chin before answering, "The Leonum's official agricultural stations use automated machines that run on a cycle, between plowing, planting, watering, and cultivating. Most of our stations focus on growing basic vegetables, herbs, and spices. The problem with is, when I say mountain planet of Himmelen, I mean it. Most of Himmelen is mass mountain ranges, and the few plains that have are used to feed the immense population we have. We're not here to kick you out of this system, or to kick you off this planet, as long as you stay peaceful you're welcome here, we're here so we can expand our agriculture. Some of our population is starving, and the people are doing what they can to help. Keep the planet, but please assist this in our small crisis here."

The communication looks confused for a second before saying, "Sire, we're not in video chat, I need to type it in binary."

Alexander puts his hand on his forehead and mutters, "Shit."

After a few minutes of the communications officer typing the message into the terminal, the message is sent back to the Zaedrax fleet.

Another message is sent back with haste:

Quote :: We will stay peacefully. The Zaedrax do not feed from plants, but would rather eat flying insects and meats. We would be dependent on livestock, but on a significantly lower level than standard carnivores. Apologies, but this vessel must depart. Communicate with our sister ship, the ZTN Azure, and we can maintain diplomacy.

The ZTN Infinity's bow glows a purple hue before firing a pulse of energy from it. A dark void in space is visible, and the vessel slips inside it before disappearing. The ZTN Azure would send a brief "ping", to identify itself as the ship that was named.

Planet-side the operation continues, and automatic drones would begin to round up any livestock for further research.

Many of the creatures on the planet are a similar species to goats and sheep. The predators on the planet seem to be stealthy reptilian creatures and hawk like birds.

The commander observes the animals, ordering for research into their reproduction methods, in order to begin breeding them. A select few of the goat-like creatures are brought into pens, where they autopsies are conducted.

Alexander rubs the back of his neck, wondering why the capital ship just left all of a sudden. He shrugs and turns to the communications officer, "Prepare to send a message son. Now that we've established our little predicament, will you help us? A trade agreement could be made; though our planet doesn't make as much food, it is full of ship building metals. You can give us the food we need, or we could build it ourselves, and we give you metals to expand your fleet. A necessity for a necessity, yes?"

The Rifter fighters begin to return to their original bays and dock, but the scrimmage line is held, with the Hurricane battle cruisers lined up neatly along the Gustavus. The cruisers break their back line and form a small diamond around the Gustavus and stay idly by as the emperor negotiates an agreement.

After a brief time, the ZTN Infinity reappears from a slipspace portal close to its original location. It relays information briefly between it and the Azure, and it opens a feed with the Gustavus Adolphus, replying to its message:

Quote :: The Zaedrax on this planet would not be directly or even indirectly harming any of your agricultural advancements here, but we would agree to a trade agreement. Our agricultural methods here would not interfere with any gathering of plants, or even meats, but rather dispose of insects and pests. However, your proposal is interesting, and resources can certainly be useful.

The communications officer stands up from his terminal and repeats the message with a nervous smile, "Yes, I've been reading the messages wrong. They're just letting us go down and start farming." The officer looks around nervously, waiting for a response from the two emperors.

David sighs and walks up to the communications officer and hits him in the back of the head, letting out a small chuckle, "You need to learn to read binary again ensign."

Alexander smiles smugly at the ensign's mistake, then waves him back to his terminal. "Well, we seem to have been reading your messages wrong Zaedrax. The Leonum thanks you kindly, and I extend the olive branch of peace and friendship. Yes, that trade agreement. We do have a large amount of ores for ship building, and I'd be happy to offer it to you in exchange for anything you may have. Now, if you don't mind, I'll be sending a few cruisers down with agricultural equipment to get started."

Seven of the cruisers break the circle around the Gustavus and begins to descend upon the planet's atmosphere, then starts looking for a suitable place to land. Upon finding a large clearing, the first cruiser lands and drops down a ramp, allowing large rovers to be let off, carrying pieces of equipment inside of the storage area.

The landing of the cruisers is noted, and the Commander's vehicle shifts into sphere form, quickly darting off to the landing zone. A gunship and a drop-ship accompany him. When the units would arrive at the location. the drop-ship and gunship would land, and the Commander's vehicle would unfold into its standing configuration, awaiting the Imperii Leonum's units and representatives to emerge from their respective vessels.

Alexander stands on the bridge of the Gustavus Adolphus, thinking over what other materials he needs at the moment for the Leonum. "Well Zaedrax, we could use an increase in technology. Science, research, things of that nature. I'm not asking you to dispel all of your secrets, but we could use a better method of developing things. Weapons, shields, armor, and generators always work."

The land rover in the front of the convoy stops and raises its storage compartment in the back, depositing the base of a large command center. The driver dismounts and looks at the Zaedrax command vehicle, before scrambling back into his rover and grabbing the radio, "Hey, um, commander? There's a vehicle here."

"Well, no shit corporal, we sent vehicles out."

"I mean, not our vehicles, vehicle. It looks like the ships in orbit."

"What? Why are they there?"

"Why should I fucking know? I just work here."

"Um, okay, I'm going to send out some marines, don't die please, and for the love of the Leonum corporal, don't shoot at them."

The corporal drops his radio on the floorboard of the rover, then grabs the assault rifle from the rack on the back window, then stands outside, waiting for the reinforcements to arrive. The other rovers let their cargo go and drop the building equipment down. Three squads of engineers get out of a troop transport in the rear of the convoy and begin to quickly assemble the command center in the open field.

The walker would tower above the rover, standing at nearly twenty feet tall. Its four legs spread out more, and the center orb would lower to ground level. It would slide open only to reveal the Captain, who would exit his vehicle and rise to look at the scene. He stands at ten feet tall, his armor only making him appear larger and bulkier. A large metal rifle protrudes from his right arm, but it remains lowered. He would raise his arm to enter some commands into a wrist-mounted computer before lowering it again.

The drop-ship would open, and multiple automatons standing at around 9 feet tall would emerge. Some would wield weapons, and others with scientific equipment. They would scatter out of the drop-ship, scanning the local area, military automatons keeping their weapons lowered.

The Captain would take a few steps forward before sending a message in binary:
"Hello, Imperii Leonum. I am the Ground Expeditionary Captain of the Zaedrax, here to establish a basic agricultural operation on this planet. We would hope to work side and side with your nation to ensure optimal agricultural output, and to join our nations closer diplomatically."

The Gustavus sends a message back to the Zaedrax capital ship, "Well, we constantly mine the ores of Titanium, Tungsten, Iron, Steel, and many alloys of the ones listed. The Gustavus is constructed with these metals, and it's fared pretty well, especially when we tested it against the probabilities in space combat."

The corporal looks up at the automatons and starts to tremble, clambering back into the rover and grabbing a PDA, reading the message from the captain of the Zaedrax. He still looks around nervous, and turns around to observe the engineering squads setting up the command post. The corporal grabs the radio again, "Sir, the robot... Automaton... Thingy is talking to us through binary, we can pick it up on the PDAs, but can you send a dictionary so they can decode it or something? It's going to be annoying if we have to work with them through binary."

"Corporal, how did you join the Imperial Army by being such a whiner?"

"Lots of hard work and boot kissing, sir."

"Whatever you snarky... Okay, I'm getting a packet sent, don't call on us again unless they attack or someone drops dead because of the atmosphere. Command over and out."

The corporal sets the radio down again and looks back at the command center, its progress coming along very nicely. The combined work of the engineers has sped up the assembling of the post to a quick pace. Another rover speeds from the cruiser's ramp and comes screeching to a halt by the corporal's lead rover. A second rover quickly follows and two squads of marines quickly dismount and take up positions, using the rovers as a cover from the Zaedrax. The corporal nods to the new master sergeant on the field and goes to join the other marines. The master sergeant takes the PDA and starts to type in a series of numbers, which translates to, "Hello captain, I am master sergeant Rex. Until we get an official officer on the field to discuss the terms on the ground with you, we'd appreciate it if you stayed right about there. Don't take it as a hostile act, just procedure."

The ground units remain idle, scientific units deploying small drones that remain idle as well.

The Captain tilts his head as the marines crouch behind their vehicles, a combination of curiosity and amusement. He receives the data packet on his handheld computer, and almost as quickly responds in Swedish:
"I am in the open here. If I were to pose a threat, would I not have attacked earlier, or perhaps from cover? We mean no harm, but understand your apprehension."

David and Alexander and look at each other, then start discussing the positives and negatives of such a shield, then Alexander turns to the communications officer and says, "David and I have conferred and decided to accept your offer on that shield. Though I think we should discuss matters on the ground, face to face and all that. It's better for business."

Alexander takes his leave from the Gustavus and boards onto a small dropship waiting in the hangar, he takes a seat in the cockpit and buckles in as his pilot activates the thrusters and leaves the hangar. The shuttle descends upon the planet and lands beside the cruiser and slowly dismounts. The cruiser captain stands at attention in front of the ramp and salutes him, updating him on the current situation. Alexander takes a moment to aquatint himself to the atmosphere of the planet, before boarding onto a jeep and sits quietly as it starts forward to the command post.

The master sergeant looks at the ten foot tall automaton with a gun for an arm and looks at the two marine squads, then shrugs and yells back, "You're a really tall looking tank with a rifle for an arm and you have a couple of other really tall tanks. So, just stay there. I'm not the best at negotiating, but you know, SOPs."

The marines look around anxiously, wondering what to do until one of the officers get there.

The ZTN Infinity sends a message back in Swedish:

Quote :: A face to face agreement would certainly be acceptable, and desired. We will see you ground-side.

Layers of hull under the ZTN Infinity would slide open, revealing hundreds of tiny holes and hatches underneath it. One hatch would open to fire a projectile at the planet.
The projectile would be heading towards the area where the Captain is, and it quickly engages reverse thrust and multiple flaps appear, slowing its descent.

The Captain would ponder the words before his right arm would suddenly begin to snap and collapse on itself, the weapon sealing itself inside the armor. In its place, a simple four finger hand would appear, and the Captain would appear to have no armaments. The Captain responds once more in Swedish:
"Perhaps now my claim would be more believable. Our representative will be arriving shortly."

The Captain does a slight bow before walking back to his vehicle. The sphere closes in on the Captain, and it rolls back to the Zaedrax drop-ship.

Far above, the large projectile can be seen coming down a few meters behind where the commander was standing. Right before impact, the projectile's lower section splits into eight legs, which it lands on. The object is in the shape of a strange angular spire, and the front of it glows blue. It stands around sixty feet tall, and slowly inches forward before a ramp appears from its underside. Out from it, appears two figures, one standing around nine feet tall with a dark green armor, and cape following. The other would appear to be wearing ceremonial armor, a red piece of fabric waving behind his helmet while he holds his hand to his belt, resting upon the hilt of a weapon.

As he exits the walker, Verunas notices the marines standing at ready, taking cover behind their vehicles. Nossa pauses for a moment before giving a slight wave over with his hand. The marines would feel a presence in their mind, not intrusive, but calming.

Psychic Presence wrote:: Relax friends, you are in good company.

Verunas would step forward to the master sergeant non-aggressively before speaking:
"I am Supreme Ambassador of The Zaedrax Tetrabune, Verunas Nossa. I believe I am to meet with Alexander Berglund, is he present?"

Verunas' accent sounds surprisingly natural after just recently learning the language. The voice comes off as relaxed, calm, and respectful.

The engineers finish the completion of the command post and return to their vehicles, taking a quick glance at the giant ship before high tailing it out of there, leaving the imperial marines alone with the giant automatons. The marines stand ready with anxious expressions on their faces. Over in the distance a rover can be heard, and in a few minutes a large military convoy arrives. The rovers stop and marines exit the vehicles, taking up positions around the command post as the Peace Emperor exits the last rover and walks gracefully to the line. The marines relax considerably that their emperor is there with them, and stands down. Master Sergeant Rex gives a quick salute to the emperor and stands aside for them to talk.

"I do apologize for the defenses and the lack of tact that the Master Sergeant as shown; as I have originally said, there are many dangerous things in this universe of ours. May I invite you inside so we can discuss the details of our little trade?

Verunas observes the general, providing a slight bow as he emerges. He would then give a slight wave towards the automatons and units behind him, and they would return to their vehicles. He turns back to the emperor before responding:

Quote :: "Do not blame your Sergeant, it is not everyday that you see nine foot tall soldiers escorted by machines. And yes, let us move to where you desire to discuss the terms."

Verunas would be prepared to follow the Emperor, and his bodyguard stays close by his side.

Alexander nods and alerts the marines to move the rovers from a defensive line. After a few minutes the rovers have left to return to the cruiser. Alexander gives a neat about-face and walks inside of the command post. A team of engineers lays inside, setting up computer equipment and other electrical devices. In the middle of the dull gray room, there is a metal table with two chairs opposite of each other. Alexander takes a seat on one side of the table and waves his hand towards the other side, before wondering if the chair will support the nine foot tall Zaedrax.

Alexander clears his throat and speaks clearly as he can, "Take a seat if you can, and if you cannot, I can always get another chair. But that is beside the point; we are here to discuss a trade, and an establishment of good relations. Now, as I've said before upon the Gustavus, our planet is full of ship building material. Your race seems to have an abundance of advanced technology, such as the particle shield we were interested in. What would you have of us sir? Can we come upon an equal trade?
