Some history: The rise of Ndeora
Modern goblin lore Russian-Wilderness

For as long as any written texts can remember the Goblin society had never been little more then a tribal hierarchy, sometimes compared to early human city-states at the best of times. This, however changed with the fall of Talibar in the west which brought about the Goblin cultural revolution. To begin with there was little change as the goblin tribes of the south eastern heartland began to emerge from their holes and spread out on to the surface, now free of Talibarian harassment. For a time things remained as such with various forest and cave goblin settlements dotting the still wild and untamed foothills of the *Whatever the fuck they're called* mountains. However after perhaps a decade of relative stability various nobles in the west began to encroach into this new Goblin land, searching for untapped mineral deposits and timber to supply their respective war efforts. By this time the Goblin settlements had begun to flourish with several third tier cities having sprung up amidst the dense woodland and steep hills. It didn't take long for these native Goblins to begin to oppose the colonization of their lands by the resource-hungry humans who regarded them as little more then vermin to be exterminated in the thousands. The Goblins in turn began to retaliate against the settlers, looting and burning villages in an attempt to drive the workers from their newly acquired land. Soon, the various lords began to grow tired of this Goblin nuisance and banded together, hiring a massive force of sellswords and mercenaries who's numbers were estimated to be in the tens of thousands. City after city fell to this host with countless goblin lives lost, both civilian and military. After several months of fighting the remaining Goblin elders and chiefs assembled near the foot of Mount Caelo and in their desperation set aside all feuds and differences to create the first council of the Coalition of Tears (Known in Goblin as Chomhairle Na Ndeor) which would unite all goblin subraces, be they forest, cave, swamp or other under one banner. This newly created coalition of cities and tribes began to chip away at the human host, using traps, ambushes, night raids and other guerrilla tactics as the mercenary army pushed deeper and deeper into the wilderness. Eventually the force arrived at the foot of Mount Caelo tired, starving and cut off from the rest of the world. It was here that a massive Goblin hoard was said to boil forth from the ground it's self, overwhelming and engulfing the human army in less then an hour, leaving the remnants to flee westwards, broken and routed.

City of Aontacht
Modern goblin lore Medieval-Fantasy-City-1

Located on the hills at the foot of Mount Caelo the city of Aontacht (Goblin for Unity) was founded shortly after the battle of Caelo in which Goblins first fought as a united people under one flag. Since then it has become the undisputed capitol of the Ndeorian nation, growing into a vast city that soon surpassed many of the great cities in both the east and west. While the architecture can hardly be considered grand, with most of the style being drawn from the western nations of former Talibar it is the design of the city it's self that sets it apart in that it exists both on, and under the surface. Above ground sits the residential and commercial districts of the city, mostly populated by woodland goblins and half-breeds. However, beneath the city lies countless tunnels, underground plazas, factories and housing, extending down several hundred feet from the surface of the earth. Here lies the industrial heart of the Goblin nation with foundries working night and day with a massive workforce of cave goblins to process the ore arriving from the nearby mountains.

The World Fangs

Modern goblin lore Beach-snow-mountain-china-mountains-winter-up-net-198346

Within the far northern reaches that lie beyond the Broken Sea and to the west of the vast and powerful Pycheko lies a vast outcropping of mountains that jut out into the Great Sea. These lands are known as The World Fangs, a mostly uninhabited stretch of incredibly inhospitable land home to vast mountain ranges and a frigid near year-round winter. Despite this frigid and untame land's isolation from the rest of Southern Aeria much of the lands to the south owe their existence to the World Fangs which act as a buffer to the freezing air currents that travel in from the Wastes.

While the World Fangs can not claim a population higher than that of Surna there are still many independant settlements scattered mostly along the stretch of land where the Mountains meet the flat tundras and glaciers that trace the norther coast of the Broken Sea. These villages and settlements are inhabited by a mixed bag of races, mostly consisting of Wastelandic goblins, humans and an odd race of humanoids known by the few southerners that know of their existence as Icekin.

It is in this barren and inhospitable land that Zayl Rathman and his companions found themselves nearly two centuries ago in their search for the fabled Vitamantian archives housed in the ancient Simmons compound nestled within the interior reaches of the rocky, windswept crags.

Many unique and strange creatures can be found in this frigid, unclaimed land in addition to the mysterious and isolated Icekin despite the seemingly inhospitable climate and terrain. It is believed by both the Vitamantia and later Zayl Rathman in addition to a few others that the reason behind not only this unique life, but almost any life in the region can be contributed to an ancient construct that lies beneath the center of the mountainous interior. This construct, a Titan was created by the long extinct Ancients and seems to posses some sort of unnatural connection to the World Storm unlike any that has been observed before or since. However its secrets have thus far remained sealed as it sits dormant; hidden from the world at large and awaiting the day that its potential can be unlocked.
