Today the roads just outside of Surna's main gates were the sight of a fierce battle that claimed the lives of four Crafts Guild mercenaries. At approximately 6:40pm a Crafts Guild caravan carrying armaments for the local watch including an 8 pounder demi-culverin found itself under attack less than an hour from Surna's gates. Within minutes a detachment of militia under local Watchman Volten Ogoni arrived to find the Guild mercenaries hard pressed from all sides in a desperate struggle for survival. However with the added support the mercenaries and militia were able to hold out until the goblins retreated from the scene with the demi-culverin in tow.

Black Watch Captain Stom Razel issued the following statement after questions arose regarding Surna's security faced with goblins wielding heavy armements.

"I'd like to assure the citizens of Surna that a single artillery piece is any cause for alarm. Furthermore we believe this to be an isolated act of banditry and does not tie in to any goblin nationalist movement."


Whatever the case this latest attack marks a new level in this conflict where not even the land within walking distance of our main gates seems safe. In response to this escalating situation the Craft Guild has been hiring mercenaries to conduct search and destroy missions against any goblin encampments that can be found in the surrounding woodland. The effect of these tactics remains negligible, however with no real way to gage the impact this has on the goblin bandits ability to conduct further raids.

Well, i think things will turn out like Vietnam

The mercs should cut their hair as short as possible as well.
Maybe get some bald mercs while their at it.

when the cartel did this exact same thing people were in uproar both ic and ooc.
