Physical Condition Charles is conditioned from years of service in the Sanctimonian Military to be both fast on his feet and tough with his fists. His impressive physical prowess allows him to overpower most other men and react to danger quickly, but lacks any magical or metahuman abilities.
Willpower & Spirit Stress, fear and panic have come and gone often throughout Charles' time in service, and over the years he has learned to suppress signs of weakness, and resist mind-affecting magics to some small degree.

General Combat Prowess Extensive training within the military has lead to Charles excellent proficiency with the longsword, sporting the combined knowledge of stances & counters, and an above average sword-arm. Charles has trained proficiency with firearms in general, and is able to fire & load both wheellock and matchlock firearms with little danger of misfire. Charles has basic proficiency with stabbing polearms, such as the pike or lance, and naturally is a threat to mounted enemies.
Unarmed Combat Charles has not been professionally coached and trained to be a boxer, but he is nonetheless a strong pugilist. From countless scuffles within the streets of Imperia, Charles has been able to piece together the basic fundamentals of boxing that the majority of would-be unarmed fighters are unaware of.
First-Aid Training from Sanctimonia's military has helped Charles learn how to tend to basic wounds, but little more.
Streetwise Being stationed within the capitol city of Imperia has lead to Charles being more experienced in populated cities than undeveloped land. While some soldiers are able to easily live off the land while in a forest, Charles is exceptional at navigating streets, gathering information and handling less-than-legal operations.

Biography: At a young age, Charles' family defected from Sida to live in Sanctimonia, where Charles' father, Atticus, would become a successful spice merchant in Sanctimonia's capitol city; Imperia. While Atticus' business was enough to keep the family fed and under a good roof, he felt that there was little future for his son in the business. Charles had grown to adore the nation of Sanctimonia, and when asked by his father what he wished to be when he was a man grown, Charles proclaimed he wanted to be a soldier.
Charles was stationed within the city of Imperia, and for many years worked alongside the city officials to help keep the peace. Confronting unruly drunks to gun-toting slave-mongers, Charles has worked alongside and lost many fellow soldiers, and as he grew to be a hardened soldier, he learned to cope with both the loss of squad-mates and the dangers within the city with stoic efficiency, and developed little taste for humor.
Recently, Charles was reassigned to the Blackwatch within Surna, and for the first time placed in charge of his own squad.

Pocket Watch An ornate pocket watch held by a bronzed chain that once belonged to a former squad-mater of Charles', whom died during a drug-bust.

Just a small nitpick. The city that was rebuild upon the ruins of Imperia has been renamed Sanctimonia. Sanctimonia, Capital of Sanctimonia.
