Planning: The Mines

Pat wants to do the Mine event some time this week, he wants to do it in SF, as, the server is being wonky.

Start posting on waht days you might want it to be. I'm thinking Friday. He'll post a legit topic about it soon, but this should help motivate him.

Pat: maybe those 2 days should be devoted to passive though

Rutabega: which is 9:15 on weekdays

So, with the help of an anonymous friend, I've found a fix for the map problems. If anyone else has had the same problems, here's the fix -

Go into your steam games libary
Right click on Half Life 2
Click "Properties"
Now click on the tab that says "Beta"
Click on the dropdown box and select "Beta - Steampipe Beta"
Finnally, attempt to start HL2. It should say that it will convert to a better format or whatever, click "OK" and sit down and watch some TV or youtube or something.
Also, it should ask somewere near the end of the conversion it will install missing game content, so click "Ok"
REMEMBER: After it finishes, make sure you run hl2 so it can load the content

So we'll now be using the map I originally intended. Which you can find here -

So far, the event looks like it might happen roughly one week from today, so that all pertinent who-ha's may attend (Rutabega). We'll miss Erik Fisher, but, we can move on without him.

Entirely understandable. I had my Prom one weekend, and I let people know that I was gone, no changes possible.
