Spoiler:
Intelligence <{ | | | | - - - - - - }>
Not a genius by any means, Strife has largely been separate from the world of books and learning, except for recently.
Strength <{ | | | | | | - - - - }>
Both Strife's build and his training favor lean muscle and agility over brute strength.
Agility & Dexterity <{ | | | | | | | | - - }>
Strife's upbringing has instilled in him a keen sense of form and motion; trained to control every muscle in his body as one would a weapon.
Perception <{ | | | | | | | | - - }>
Strife was raised as a hunter - of both beasts and men. His childhood spent on the ice flats, his young adulthood in the cities, he has been honed to never be absent of his surroundings. This has lent itself towards his burgeoning affiliation with magic, able to perceive magical auras more easily than the common man.
Stamina & Endurance <{ | | | | | | | - - - }>
His youth spent upon the freezing ice of the Broken Sea, and forced to be subjected to a brutal manhood ritual, as well as his training and build, have lent themselves to a powerful sense of stamina and endurance in hardship.
Willpower & Fortitude <{ | | | | - - - - - - }>
Though not weak in mind, certain events in Strife's life have made it clear that he is not fully able to resist the allure of certain base pleasures - or have the resolve to make hard choices.
Combat & General Magic
Spoiler:
Base Magical Potency <{ | | | | | | - - - - }>
Strife is born of a powerful magical bloodline, and though he has hardly the knowledge to utilize it, there it lays, lurking beneath the surface.
Surge Connection <{ | | | | | | | | - - }>
Strife is a descendant of a bloodline with a strong connection to the Surge. He had no idea of it's existence until recently, when it manifested in violent ways.
Surge Blast <{ | | | | - - - - - - }>
With Strife's natural connection to Surge, certain powers come instinctively, not needing to be taught - though they certainly require honing. Surge Blast consists of a collection of Surge energy into a simple kinetic thrust. More experienced Vindicators can use it for higher purposes, but Strife can only use the barest form of this ability.
Unarmed <{ | | | | | | - - - - }>
Strife is trained in a number of martial arts, from simple pugilism to Occitanian hand-to-hand to the unique form of the Vitu'a.
The Vitu'a's preference in close combat are duel short blades, and as such, Strife is a fearsome combatant in melee.
Energy Manipulation: Focus, Endurance and Control <{ | | - - - - - - - - }>
Strife, having just begun to step into the realms of magic under his deceased teacher Shelob Razel, has just barely learned to manipulate energy to cast a few simple spells.
Cognimancy; Illusion <{ | | - - - - - - - - }>
Having trained beneath a master of the school of illusion, Strife's strongest grasp on any magic school is illusion. Trained to recognize and cast a few simple types of illusion, Strife still has a very long way to go.
Abjuration; Evocation <{ | - - - - - - - - - }>
Having been taught one or two fire spells by Shelob, Strife cannot be called an adept or even a novice in this field by any regard.
Strife spent much of his youth in some of the harshest environments on earth. As such, he has a reliable knowledge of survival skills, tracking methods, and natural methods of healing and health.

Biography
Spoiler:
Strife was born among the Vitu'a, {Vih-too-ah} an infamous nomadic clan that wanders the northern wastes. For such a small, remote clan, they are disproportionally famous in certain circles; for the Vitu'a are known to produce some of the most naturally skilled warriors in all the world. Contracted out to Sultans, Kings, and Noble's private armies, the Vitu'a are high-value mercenaries ranked among the greatest in the world. The Vitu'a do nothing to detract from this reputation, and in fact encourage it - sending young Vitu'a around the world to seek fortune; most of which is sent back home. As a result, the small clan of the Vitu'a has a disproportionate amount of personal wealth, used to sustain themselves and buy fine materials for Vitu'a to use. The upbringing that every Vitu'a receives seems perfectly suited to produce supremely capable mercenaries, able to act autonomously for years on end, earning wealth for the clan.
The truth is that the Vitu'a are the descendants of the Vitualamen, the product of the reclusive Vitamantia, an order of Vitamancers with a unique vision for mankind. Products of an attempt to create a flawless, immortal human being, the Vitualamen were a unique bloodline tailored and modified in 'batches' by the Vitamantia. Serving the Talibarian Empire as ruthless assassins and special forces, the Vitamantia never stopped reaching for their goal - the removal of all weakness from the human form, as to allow mankind to act on par with the divine. Sometime before the Great War, the Vitamantia ran afoul of the mage Zayl Rathman, Vindicator Grandmaster, and the Vindicators themselves. Ordered by the paranoid and fearful Talibarian Emperor, the Vitamantia struck all at Vindicators, everywhere, slaughtering hundreds of them and driving them to extinction. Rathman and his allies struck back, eventually destroying the Vitamantia.
Left with no masters, the Vitualamen left the known world, traveling far to the north. There they lived, forging their own unique identity and culture. They continued the brutal practices and training used by the Vitamantia, and eventually became the Vitu'a. It is to this culture, this people, that Strife was born - named in the old way, like the Vitu'a of old - Malice, Spite, Scorn, and so on. Like all other Vitu'a, he was immediately separated from his family by the Matron, a powerful and mysterious Vitamancer. Using skilled Vitamancy, she removed any possible ailments from his body and then went further, cultivating the natural skills of his bloodline - of the Vitu'a. With the other young children, Strife was raised, communally, under the Matron. She taught them to speak, schooling them of different languages they could encounter on their journeys. When he was old enough, he was taken beneath his Mentor, the Vitu'a Ruin. The next years of his childhood were spent training, learning Vitu'a hand-to-hand, and hunting the wilds. When he was fourteen, he could hunt, track, and kill better than many full grown men.
It was then that the darker ways of the Vitu'a came to light. His mentor, after six years of comradeship and closeness, one day captured and bound the young Strife. For the next three days, Strife was tortured by his mentor, suffering terrible agonies. Finally, when he was close to death, his mentor stopped, and deliver Strife's near lifeless body to the Matron. By the time he had healed under her watch, Ruin had left, to roam the world in search of fortunes. It was then that he was told - one day he would take on an apprentice - and one day, to unite him with the rest of his brothers and sisters, he would commit the same crime - the same torture - so that he would share the same emotional scars. On that day, he received his own apprentice - a young girl named Hatred.
Strife and Hatred became close, as mentor and apprentice do. He taught her what he knew, as Ruin did to him, all the while, honing his own skills. And though he dreaded the day, as the years past, and he became as close as one might be to another person, he began to forget the terrible thing to come. And yet one day it did. He was called before the Matron and told that it was time. That night, he wept, and sleep never came; in the morning, he drugged Hatred into unconsciousness and bound her, waiting for her to awake - and when she did, he began. For three days did it happen, Strife consumed by as much mental agony as Hatred suffered physically. It was then that something happened. Hatred died.
Strife would never forget the pain.
He woke the next day, in a daze. When he remembered what had happened, he fell into a rage. Discipline and family went out the window. He made his way for the Matron's tent, vengeance and blood on his mind. When two of his brothers tried to restrain him, he fought them in an animal frenzy. Any other day, any other Vitu'a, would have been beaten. But something else awoke in him. Energy gathered upon his hands and burst forward in a sudden thrust - snapping the neck of one of his brothers. Horrified, he was brought from his blood-rage - only to be greeted by the hand of the Matron.
That night, the Matron told him everything. Secrets she had held. The truth of his blood-line, and the power held inside him. She revealed that he was not pure Vitu'a. That his blood was mixed with another. The Matron told him - seek Surna. Seek your bloodline.
Strife left then, in the dead of night, with no goodbyes for any of his brothers. For Surna, Catalyst of Fates.
Deity None.

Keyword is were. The Vitualamen were always diluted from the original 'peak', and the Vitu'a would be even more.

Going to toss this an accept. Seems reasonable from his history as Zayl's kin and the Viu'a teachings.

I accept on the bounds that if I accept this then I will make Pat do whatever I want forever through the use of guilt.
Naw, in reality, he seems a fair character. He seems to have the potential to be a rather potent badass; however, don't we all? I look forward seeing the character played, as I trust Pat's playing, everything seems sound (the lore master wrote it for fuck's sake), and the abilities don't seem 'out of bounds' per say.
