Tolerances:
Bacteria - Being around corpses, dusty books and other unpleasantries in general, bacteria and other filth does not bother me in the slightest.
Corpses - Living along side the dead gives you an opportunity to not only stomach their presence, but appreciate what they have to offer scientifically.
Blood - Beautiful, crimson-colored waters of life that flow in all of us - or at least, most of us.
Darkness - The crypt was not a place of blinding light, that much is fact. I'm more comfortable reading by candle light than out in the sun.

Gynophobia - Long time seclusion has caused women to become a mystery to me. At least, live ones.
Skills
Spoiler:
Medical Sciences
Spoiler:
Blood Letting
The act of Blood Letting, allows for the body to spill its tainted fluids through bleeding wounds - often times inflicted in specific places and with specific tools. Whether this practice holds some magical influence as the results have mostly been positive... Mostly. Whether or not the subject is ill, it is often better to rid the body of impurities before they can accumulate and manifest themselves in diseases or major illnesses. Through practice and study, this has become an art that I've perfected with stunning results on the living, the dead however don't have very much to fear from disease.
Leeches
Don't ask me how, but I've managed to collect a few leeches - which, through experimentation - I've figured is a wonderful tool to use during a Bloodletting. Apart from a scientific and medical tool, they make absolutely fantastic pets in my opinion as they're easy to take care of and are absolutely silent - unlike canines, whom are needy, noisy and are prone to violent behavior.
Herbal Remedies
I've been able to create and improve various non-magical remedies with all this time on my hands, and I have to say that my skills to cure illnesses and health-related discomfort is something to boast about. With everyone supposedly obsessed with using magic, nobody has bothered to take it upon themselves to uphold traditional remedies that don't involve praying or 'oogie-boogie' hand waving, it's sad really.
Alchemy
Through Solus' teaching and various books on the matter, I have a decent knowledge on the how-to for Alchemy practices and recipes. Thanks to my personal knowledge in herbs and medicinal remedies, experimentation has yielded interesting results, but it is a skill that has proven to be quite useful and incredibly fascinating, something I will definitely continue to pursue in the near future. My abilities with Alchemy are virtually limitless - provided I have the recipe, ingredients and a willing - or unwilling - test subject...
Abilities
Spoiler:
Immunity to Disease
My life's work and prolonged time spent in the crypts studying everything related to illnesses has allowed me to not only harden my constitution and expand my knowledge on biological anomalies, but create a vast amount of medicine that prevents such inconveniences. The fact that I wear several items that are made to protect me from being exposed to such biological threats also help to keep me healthy. When combined, I am - for lack of a better word - immune to all forms of disease and illnesses.
Resistance to Poisons
Due to my previously mentioned hearty constitution, poisons and other harmful substances do not affect me greatly - to a certain degree. Unlike diseases, I am not immune to the more 'aggressive' poisons and toxins, or the more common ones if delivered in large doses. It's all relative really...
Other Skills
Spoiler:
Firearm Proficiency
While under Solus' wing, I have been taught many things. One of which was how to properly handle and use firearms. Most notably, Match-lock pistols, as it was the only weapon Solus has kept from his earlier years. Though I may not be the biggest or strongest, I make up for my lacking strength with my ability to pull off a quick and accurate shot. It would be a shame if I were not able to guard my findings and research, and that's the mentality I kept while learning this particular skill.
Arson
Though not intentional, I've discovered quite a few recipes that yield a flammable substance that ignites rather easily. I've had my fair share of burns while experimenting, but the idea of using said concoctions as means for defense, or disposing of bodies that pose a threat to others. This is a rather minor skill when compared to my ability to use a firearm due to me needing to constantly replenish my supply of ingredients and flasks... I'm not made of money, you know.
Observance
A skill taught and learned through watching Solus', the man's keen eyes - though never matched by myself - were something to be praised to say the least. One could say that I grew jealous, but in reality, I simply tried to learn his gift and use it for myself. Though I am nowhere as skilled as him, I did learn a thing or two during my years in his presence within the crypt.
Biography
Spoiler:
(WiP - May work on it later)
For as long as Benjamin could remember, he has spent the majority of his childhood within the walls of the orphanage that sheltered him. Not that the keepers prohibited him from leaving the orphanage's grounds, he simply had no interest in the outside world seeing as it was populated by the children he so deeply despised. Benjamin was never a tall boy, in fact, he was a rather brittle child with a fairly skinny build, an easy target for bullies and other kids that sought out to steal their bunk mate's pocket change to buy themselves treats and toys. Thankfully, Felix had no interest in such things - even as a child, his interest lied in books and stories, for they were entertainment enough for his vibrant imagination, spending most of his time learning to read and write while others wasted their youthful years fighting among each other and begging for scraps. From a very early age, he developed a preference for being on his own - with few exceptions, mainly his tutors and the staff that worked about in the orphanage.
Sadly, the orphanage did not have a very extensive academic plan for the kids that it housed, and with Benjamin's thirst for knowledge, it wasn't a surprise that he sought out another source of education. During his late childhood, the boy began to leave the orphanage for long periods of time, and with his grades, nobody questioned him as he skipped class, nor did they worry that trouble would follow him. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the other kids who - after hearing of the boy's privilege to skip class and go out doors when most were stuck inside and in class - grew jealous... It wasn't long before said ill-tempered boys attempted to assault the younger boy, chasing after him through the streets and alleys of the town like mad. Though he was nor quick, nor strong, the boy miraculously managed to keep ahead of the other boys, making his escape into one of the entrances of The Crypt. The boy - having spent his life indoors - had no idea what this place was, nor did he care to leave as the other boys seem sheepish about entering, though they waited like animals for him to leave, leaving him no choice but to dwell deeper into the dark, musty depths of the Crypt.
From there, the boy met Solus, keeper of the dead and local Undertaker. A man who's feet never truly touched the ground it seemed as he moved silently through the halls of the crypt, his presence shifting in and out of reality, blending into the shadows as if he were himself part of the deceased. His past was enough to stir idle curiosity in the young boy, although, the relationship had been built on mutual respect as he offered Benjamin a place to stay, figuring the young boy lacked any family without so much as asking him any questions beyond his name and reason for being here - although the second question may have just been to confirm his suspicions as he already seemed to know. Though the crypt was a place of death and childhood stories of terror, Benjamin accepted the offer rather quickly as he saw potential in this place and in that man. His hunch would prove to be accurate, as Solus, a man of few words but many tales, decided to take the young boy under his wing.
To the boys of the orphanage, Benjamin disappeared, many of them saw him escape into the dark depths of the crypt, but none witnessed him ever resurfacing. Tales of him being torn asunder by unnatural beasts or the walking dead were told among them, but the young Benjamin's existence soon faded altogether. Years passed, many years in fact, before the boy was seen again - and by that time, none really knew him anymore. He was simply a man whom had simply appeared one day. A man who's face remained covered.
Inventory
Spoiler:
Medical Bag
Spoiler:
A leather bag made to carry all forms of medical equipment, ingredients and other knick-knacks that could prove useful in Benjamin's endeavors.
Riveted Plague Doctor Mask
Spoiler:
A very unusual clothing article that always covers Benjamin's facial features. A Plague Doctor mask made of leather, waxed cotton, and then covered in hardened leather reinforced with rivets and metal plating. The 'beak' of the mask is filled with spices and herbs. If anyone were to get a sniff at the herbs present, they would most likely fall into a coughing fit, their eyes surely tearing up as if they had just gotten a bag of sneezing powder to the face. However, due to him having worn the mask for the longest of times, these spices no longer bother the young man.
Poking Cane & Waxed Suit
Spoiler:
BEWARE, LARGE IMAGES
Spoiler:
A cane composed of metal, good for whacking and poking bodies to see if they are indeed expired. Unlike Solus, Benjamin is not as keen with his eyes when identifying vampires, undead and normal corpses. Precautions need to be taken, of course.
His suit, though aesthetically pleasing to the eye, is waxed on the interior, preventing 'bad air' from clinging to the fabric nor allowing it to penetrate the fabric and come into contact with Benjamin's skin.
Plague Coat
Spoiler:
A protective suit consisted of a heavy fabric overcoat that is waxed and built with several layers of thick fabric that protect the wearer from air born biological threats.
Matchlock Pistol

I just fell in love with your character design, and though I wish your biography would suggest a little more as to his current nature, at least demeanor, I understand the keeping of the mystery, and I can easily lend this character an accept.

I'm actually in love with this character as well, and frankly you're not shooting for anything far-fetched or even remotely overpowered.
