It is hard to come across someone who has not already heard of these events. Watchmen's gunshots, screams, and terrible roars filled the night.
It was early in the morning when the beast came. Some sort of half-man, half-bear beast tore into the city and took hold of an as-of-yet unidentified citizen. It is not known if the citizen in question still lives, but given the later ferocity of the beast's actions, we can only assume the worst.
Responding Watchmen were torn apart, set into by the mindless ferocity of the beast. Even the combined efforts of off-duty Watchmen and a few Black Watch soldiers could not stop the beast.
The Watch has placed a bounty of five thousand gold for the capture or death of this beast. Any information will be well repaid. The Watch has also announced that Watch patrols will now be supplemented by Black Watch soldiers, who will guard the walls.
