| Subject: The Senate Floor Sat Jul 19, 2014 12:07 pm | |
| - Spoiler:
The esteemed, sacred, but by no means quiet Senate Floor, where the most powerful men of the day gather to argue, pander, lie, and scheme their way into greater influence. From here, all legislation is posed; from here, the helm of the ascendent Republic is guided.
The endless, noisy din of the Floor finally settles down, various Senators taking their seats. Near the center, the Consuls Flavius Tertius and Gaius Quintus take their seats, to observe the proceedings from their place of honor. From the floor, a wiry looking man in a toga calls names. At last, he calls out - "A quorum is present. Thus the first congress of the Senate for the year of the Consuls Flavius and Gaius is in session. Let the hall be silent for the first speaker."
